Born Akinloye Charles Temidayo, Lovn (alias Soundbender) is a singer, songwriter and creative. Although he doubles as a fashion designer as well, Lovn is primarily a fusion musician whose roots are grounded in fuji and apala influences. He cites Fela Kuti, Michael Jackson, King Sunny Ade, Wande Coal, Don Jazzy and many more as his inspirations, their imprints reflected in his rich, textured sound. His interests are varied and layered, ranging from martial arts to basketball.
Lovn started making music in his teens, creating freestyles and recordings in his spare time. He participated in and won several local music competitions, growing his visibility and opening himself up to a host of opportunities–one of which led to him becoming a royal ambassador. Through cultivating an engaging online presence, Lovn has amassed a small but active community. When he’s not making music, Lovn runs a fashion label called Loven Tribe, incorporating his love for design and visual storytelling into his creative work. After years of consistently working towards a career in music and building a growing fanbase in Lagos, Lovn was officially signed to Mavin Records in 2025.
